Why are books important?
Books provide us with an escape from reality, allow us to explore new worlds and ideas, and help us to understand and connect with others. They can be a source of comfort in difficult times, a way to learn about new topics, and a tool for developing empathy.
When we read, we are transported to other places and times and can explore situations and emotions that we might not otherwise experience. This can be particularly useful for understanding people who are different from us, as it allows us to walk in their shoes, so to speak.
Reading is, as they say, “fundamental!”
